Amazon CloudFront Launches its first Edge location in Belgium

Amazon CloudFront is content delivery network (CDN) service which delivers data, videos, applications, and APIs to customers safely across the world with low latency, high transfer speeds, all within a developer-friendly environment. Amazon CloudFront is a web service which boosts up delivery of your static and dynamic web content like .html, .css, .js, and image files, to your users. Amazon CloudFront transfers your content via a global network of data centers called edge locations. Now Amazon CloudFront launches its first Edge Location in Brussels, Belgium. Now audiences in Belgium will discover up to a 28% boost in latency when accessing content through CloudFront with this new Edge location. Now Amazon CloudFront has 197 Points of Presence (186 Edge Locations and 11 Regional Edge Caches) in 74 cities across 34 countries. CloudFront is united with AWS – both physical locations which are straight away linked to the AWS global infrastructure, and also other AWS services. Amazon CloudFront runs smoothly with AWS Services containing AWS Shield for DDoS mitigation, Amazon S3, Elastic Load Balancing or Amazon EC2 as origins for your applications, and Lambda@Edge to execute custom code. Lastly, if you use AWS origins such as Amazon S3, Amazon EC2 or Elastic Load Balancing, you don’t pay for any data transferred between these services and CloudFront. To read further information on Amazon CloudFront’s global infrastructure, refer CloudFront Features.
