Data Protection Expanded By Amazon Elasticsearch With Automated Hourly Snapshots Without Any Additional Price

Amazon Elasticsearch Service (Amazon ES) is a organized service which is simple to deploy, operate, and scale Elasticsearch clusters in the AWS Cloud. Amazon Elasticsearch is an open-source search and analytics engine for use cases like log analytics, real-time application monitoring, and clickstream analysis. Snapshots offer an appropriate method to relocate data within Amazon Elasticsearch Service domains and retrieve from failure. This service helps in restoring from snapshots captured on both Amazon ES domains and self-managed Elasticsearch clusters. Amazon Elasticsearch Service has expanded its snapshot frequency from daily to hourly, offering extra granular recovery points. If you want to restore your cluster, then you have various, latest snapshots to pick from. These automated snapshots are maintained for 14 days without any additional prices. Hourly snapshots are automatically activated for domains executing Elasticsearch versions 5.3 and above — no act is necessary on your part. To read further about how to access automated snapshots and execute restore operation, refer documentation. Now this Hourly snapshots feature is accessible in 21 regions globally. To get the full list of AWS Region where Amazon Elasticsearch is available, refer AWS Region Table.
