Amazon Relational Database Service for Oracle now supports new X1 and X1e Instance Types

You can now use the X1 and X1e instance to operate Amazon Relational Database Service for Oracle. X1e instance type offers the highest ratio of memory to the vCPU among the Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute instance types. There are many Oracles based workloads are not CPU bound so now you can decrease the number of vCPUs in the deployment. The lower vCPU count will save you money by reducing the AWS bill by utilizing the lower cost instance and you can also maximize Oracle license utilizing by increasing the memory without increasing the processor license counts.
