AWS Serverless Application Model is now available in AWS China and AWS GovCloud

Amazon Web Services Serverless Application Model now extends the AWS CloudFormation to provision a simplified way of defining the Amazon API Gateway APIs, Amazon DynamoDB tables and AWS Lambda functions needed by the serverless application. You can now utilize new resources types to write AWS CloudFormation templates that are enhanced for defining serverless applications with only a few lines of text. With the latest AWS Serverless Application Model Support, you can now use the AWS CloudFormation CLI to deploy and pack serverless application and use the CLI tool to AWS SAM Local which is available in beta so to test and debug the AWS Lambda function location which is then defined by the AWS SAM templates.
