Amazon Web Service announced support for the
configuration of Autonomous System Number for Virtual Private Services and AWS
Direct Connect (DX) to improve the utilization of the Virtual Private Cloud
(VPC). The users can choose a Private ASN for the Amazon half of the external
BGP session utilizing DX private Virtual Interface or Virtual Private Network
Connections. The users can also view the Amazon side Autonomous System Number
in the console or through APIs without any requirement of downloading the
routed configuration details.
