Amazon AppStream 2.0 provision On-Demand Fleets to Optimize the Streaming cost

Amazon AppStream 2.0 introduces On-Demand Fleets which is a new type of fleet that can aid you to optimize the streaming cost. With this new release, you can choose between two different types of fleets when creating AppStream 2.0 streaming environment. Always-On Fleet provides instant on-access to the users with their applications but you will be charged with a streaming fess of all instances in the fleet even though if there are no users connected. With On-Demand fleets, the users can experience a small delay accessing the first application. But you will be charged only for the streaming fees for instances when the users are connected and a very small fixed hourly fee for instances will be charged for those that are not being utilized. On-Demand Fleets offer an additional way to reduce the streaming cost at the same time retaining the capability to utilize the features such as monitoring, easy update to the applications and auto-scaling the fleet sized based on the user demand.
