AWS inaugurates AWS Batch Support for EC2 Launch Template

AWS Batch enables you to define implementation parameters and job dependencies, and accelerate integration with a wide range of batch computing workflow engines and languages (e.g., Pegasus WMS, Luigi, and AWS Step Functions). AWS Batch allows developers, scientists, and engineers to simply and efficiently run hundreds of thousands of batch computing jobs on AWS. AWS Batch dynamically providing the optimum volume and type of compute resources (e.g., CPU or memory optimized instances) based on the volume and specific resource needs of the batch jobs submitted. You just package the code for your batch jobs, define their dependencies, and add your batch job with the AWS Management Console, CLIs, or SDKs.

You do not need to install and handle batch computing software or server bunch with AWS Batch which you can utilize to execute your jobs. AWS Batch permits you to emphasis on analyzing results and solving problems. AWS Batch plans, schedules, and executes your batch computing workloads over the whole range of AWS compute services and features, such as Amazon EC2 and Spot Instances.

Now, AWS Batch supports EC2 Launch Templates, permitting you to create customized templates for your compute resources, and allowing Batch to scale instances with those needs. You can define your EC2 Launch Template to add storage volumes, specify network interfaces, or configure permissions, amid alternative potentials. EC2 Launch Templates minimize the number of steps needed to configure Batch domains by capturing launch parameters in single resource. You can build EC2 Launch Templates with AWS CLI, SDKs, or with EC2 web console on AWS Batch.
