AWS Shield Advanced now allows you to create Amazon CloudWatch Alarms and Rate based rules

AWS Shield Advanced allows you to create Rate-Based Rules with upgraded onboarding wizard and also allows you to set CloudWatch alarms on the Distributed Denial of Service metrics. AWS Shield Advanced lets you protect your web application anywhere in the words and allows you to customize rule to mitigate complex application layer attacks. As AWS Shield Advanced introduces two new features to its onboarding wizard which is Rate based rules which can be added to the Web Access Control List by selecting an existing rule or creating a new rule. The onboarding wizard also allows you to monitor the protected resources with Amazon CloudWatch Alarms.
