Amazon Web Services Fargate 1.1 version is now available with added support for Amazon Elastic Container Service task metadata endpoints, Service Discovery and container health checks. AWS Fargate platform version is used to assign particular runtime environment which is a combination of the kernel version and also the container runtime version for Fargate task infrastructure. The new platform version is released as the runtime environment updates including operating system updates or kernel system updates, bug fixes, security updates and new features.
