Amazon Route 53 Auto Naming API can be utilized to update the Health status of Service instances

You can now use the Amazon Route 53 Auto Naming API to manually update the health status of service instances. You have to register a service instance with the new custom health check configuration where you can call the new API to update that the service instance is healthy and can start routing traffic to it. The health status can be set to 'unhealthy' and the Route 53 will automatically stop routing traffic to the service instance which is an alternate method. Third-party health checking system can be integrated with the Route 53 Auto Naming. Well with this you have more control over the traffic routing decision so to help to manage new deployments.
