MariaDB 10.2 is now supported on Amazon Relational Database Service

You can now launch Maria Database version 10.2 instances on Amazon Relational Database Service. You can conveniently upgrade the current Amazon Relational Database instances from version 10.1 to 10.2.11. MariaDB 10.2 is the newer major version released of the popular open source database from the original developers of MySQL. It provisions many enhancements for scalability and better performance Some the essential features in Maria DB 10.2 is the Window functions, show create user statement, new create user option, alter user statement, non-recursive common table expressions, recursive common table expressions and the new WITH statement and much more. InnoDB is default storage engine in MariaDB.
