HIPAA compliance program has added PostgreSQL Compatible edition of Amazon Aurora

The Amazon Web Service Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Compliance program have now added support for PostgreSQL compatibility with Amazon Aurora. So with this new update, AWS is maintaining full HIPAA eligibility for all the Amazon Relational Database Service database engines. The customers can utilize the Amazon Relational Database Service to generate HIPAA compliant application and store healthcare information including the protected health information under the Business Associate Agreement with Amazon Web Service. But if the Business Associate Agreement is already executed then there is no action required to utilize these services in the account covered by Business Associate Agreement. The users can contact AWS support if there is no executed Business Associate Agreement with Amazon Web Service.
