AWS announced that Amazon ElastiCache now supports the R4 Node Family

Amazon ElastiCache now adds support for R4 Node Types. R4 nodes are enhanced for memory sensitive and latency sensitive workloads. An R4 node comes in six sizes and also offers 12.3 GiB to 407 GiB of in-memory capacity. It can be scaled up to 6.1 TiB of in-memory capacity by configuring it to a 15 shard cluster for Redis. R4 node family provides optimized and high performance that is equipped with the Intel Broadwell processor and improved networking over the popular R3 node family.
