Amazon introduced High-Resolution Custom Metrics and Alarms support to CloudWatch

Amazon CloudWatch is supported for High-Resolution Custom Metrics and Alarm which will allow you to enable to monitor the custom applications and also monitor the infrastructure in real-time with per second resolution. With PutMetricData API, you can now produce Custom Metrics to 1-second resolution. You will get more visibility and greater disintegration into the state and performance of the custom application will be upgraded to as being apperceptive to the short-lived spikes and functions. With High-Resolution Alarms, you will be alert sooner at the 10 second periods. This will allow you to be highly proactive to alert so to take quick actions with standard 1-minute alarms. You can add widgets to your dashboards by providing observability of cynical components. With AWS Management Console you can explore high-resolution with custom metrics and alarms.
