Amazon Elastic file System has now gained HIPAA Eligibility

AWS announced that added Amazon Elastic File System to the list of HIPAA Eligible Services. Customers that have the Business Associate Agreement with Amazon Web Service can now store the healthcare related file data including the encrypted Protected Health information in the Amazon Elastic File System. By delivering encrypted and secure file system the Amazon Elastic File System can be used now as a part of the applications that will need to store informatics, genetics, research and imaging data containing Protect Health Information. Amazon Elastic File System offers scalable, simple, elastic file storage for use with the Amazon Web Service Cloud and on-premises through AWS Direct Connect.
