Amazon Rational Database Service for Oracle now supports Oracle SQLT Diagnostic Tool

AWS has announced that Amazon Rational Database Service supports the Oracle SQLT option. SQL query performance can be improved by utilizing the Oracle EXPLAIN PLAN statement and also analyzing the diagnostic information on the execution plan of the SQL statement. The Oracle SQLT utility generates a report that consists optimizer parameters, statistics, execution plans and other information that can be utilized to define a SQL statement for optimal performance. Amazon Rational Database Service for Oracle will make it convenient to operate, scale and set up Oracle Database deployments in the cloud.
