Amazon Rational Database Service for Oracle now supports the Customer Initiated Snapshot Upgrades for the Depreciated Oracle Database Versions

To initiate the upgrade of the snapshots for Oracle Database version of lesser version 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3 and 12.1.0.1 to support the Database version 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2. The snapshots upgrade provides a single step procedure that will not require a restore of the fundamental Rational Database Service Oracle Database instance. The Amazon Rational Database Service makes it convenient to operate, scale and set up the Oracle Database Deployments on the AWS Cloud.
