Linux Patching can now be supported by Amazon EC2 Systems Manager

Amazon EC2 Patch Manager which is part of their system manager can now support Amazon Linux, Ubuntu distributions and RHEL on your managed instances. Patch Manager used to only support Windows managed instances but before users had to patch Linux managed instances with in-house or Linux distribution specific tools. Now you can easily patch your Linux system with the same tools or setting as Windows. Linux Patching will be same as Windows patching where the patch manager will let you automate your Linux patching progress by using the defined auto-approval rules which will let you deploy vetted packages. It will also give single patch compliance view for both your Windows and Linux managed instances. This System Manager is available in entire AWS region.
