Amazon Web Service has introduced Amazon Cognito which is
now HIPAA eligible which is been added to the AWS Business Associate Agreement
(BAA) and is also a PCI complaint. HIPAA now being eligible can now use
Protected Health Information (PHI) with Amazon Cognito. They have also added a
simple and uncomplicated sign-up and sign in with Amazon Cognito User Pools by
using the email address or phone number as a username. The built-in feature of
Cognito User Pools can be used to verify the phone numbers and email addresses
by removing the need for a separate username. Amazon has also added different
languages into the Amazon Cognito Management Console such as English, Japanese
and Korean.
