File Gateway Gives Assistance To Amazon S3 Object Lock

AWS Storage Gateway offers assistance for Amazon S3 Object Lock to File Gateway, allowing write-once-read-many (WORM) file-based systems to keep and access objects in Amazon S3, with the utilization of Object Lock’s Compliance or Governance modes. On premises applications can access objects in Amazon S3 as files using File Gateway, via a local gateway deployed as a virtual or a hardware appliance. When you create a new file share or update current file, you can configure it to utilize a bucket allowed for Amazon S3 Object Lock. Any changes like file edits, deletes or renames from the gateway’s NFS or SMB clients are saved as latest versions of the object, rather than overwriting or deleting last versions. This keeps the original, locked version of the object unaltered, allowing you to apply policies as an extra layer of data security or for regulatory compliance. This new feature is accessible in every regions where AWS Storage Gateway is obtainable. To know further about File Gateway with Amazon S3 Object Lock, refer documentation
