Timed ID3 Metadata Insertion for HLS Streams supported by AWS Elemental MediaLive

AWS Elemental MediaLive is a broadcast-grade live video processing service. It allows you build high-quality video for transmit and streaming delivery to internet-connected devices. The service functions separately or as part of AWS Elemental Media Services, a family of services which design the base of cloud-based workflows and provides you the power required to transport, create, package, and deliver video. Now insertion of Apple timed ID3 metadata tags into HLS live channel outputs is feasible with AWS Elemental MediaLive. Data embedded into HLS video streams at defined timecodes is allowed by ID3 metadata tags which can be used by downstream systems or clients to improve the playback experience. ID3 metadata tags are entered with the use of similar scheduling API used for SCTE-35 and static image insertion, and input switching for channels.
