You can now delete secrets without having to open a recovery window with the latest feature offered by AWS Secrets Manager

With the latest feature, you can delete and recreate secrets easily. AWS Secrets Manager allows you to protect the secrets such as passwords, API keys and OAuth Tokens that is required to access the applications, IT resources and services. You can easily manage, retrieve and rotate the database credentials with AWS Secrets Manager. The access to the applications, credentials or any secrets can be protected by using the fine-grained permissions and audit secrets. AWS Secrets Manager DeleteSecret command with the ForceDeleteWithoutRecovery eradicates the recovery window during the process of deleting a secret from the AWS SDKs or Command Line Interface.
