Amazon Relational Database Services adds support for MySQL minor version 5.6.40 and 5.7.22

AWS has now added new MySQL versions for the RDS for improvements and fixes in the MySQL database engine. Amazon Relational Database Services adds support for the MySQL community Edition versions that will enhance the performance of the database engine with the new version 5.6.40 and 5.7.22. This update is available in all the AWS Region where the Amazon RDS is supported. You have to upgrade the Relational Database Service for MySQL database instances so to avail these releases. From AWS Management Console you can upgrade the RDS for MySQL data instances easily in just a few clicks.
