Amazon ElastiCache for Redis now adds support for Redis 4.0.10

Amazon Elastic Cache for Redis has announced that they have added support for Redis 4.0.10. You can now leverage from the better memory management capabilities new caching improvements in the Redis 4.0 and enhance the performance and the memory usage of the in-memory data processing workloads. Redis 4.0 supports a frequency based least frequently used eviction policy for removing keys in addition to the time based Least recently used policy. Redis 4.0 introduces MEMORY that offers better insights on the Redis memory usage. The Memory Doctor command offers remedy information for the memory related issues and the memory usage for the command offers an accurate memory usage for a key and its value. The Redis 4.0 can defragment memory online by enabling more efficient memory usage and move available memory for the data.
