AWS introduced Amazon EC2 C5d instances

Amazon EC2 C5d instances provide C5 instances which are installed with the local NVMe based SSD block-level storage that is physically connected to the host server. The application that needs high speed, image manipulation, media processing and low latency local storage like video encoding is ideal for such instances. An application that needs temporary storage of data such as applications that require caches and scratch files, batch and log processing can benefit from these instances. C5 customers can have additional storage choices for most of the compute workloads with the option of NVMe based SSD instance storage.
