Through AWS Cost Explorer API you can now access the Amazon EC2 Reserved Instance Purchase Recommendations

You can now access the Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute Reserved Instance purchase recommendations programmatically through the AWS Cost Explorer API. Reserved Instance purchase recommendations are calculated which is based on the past usage and signifies opportunities for potential cost savings. You can now adjust the Reserved Instance parameters only recommendation for partial upfront convertible Reserved Instances with one year term and the historical time period of usage over the recommendation that is calculated so with this you can now customize your recommendations. AWS EC2 Reserved Instances Purchase Console can now be used or you can utilize the AWS SDK to take action over the purchase and insights of Reserved Instances.
