Amazon Web Services Deep Learning AMIs now supports Optimized TensorFlow 1.6 for EC2 C5 and P3 Instances

The AWS Amazon Machine Image for Amazon Linux and Ubuntu now comes with advanced optimizations that are developed for Tensorflow 1.6 to deliver high-performance training on Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute instance families. The Amazon Machine Image now consists of an optimized build of TensorFlow 1.6 which is pre-configured with the cuDNN 7 and CUDA 9 to leverage from mixed precision training on P3 GPU powered instances. This will enable P3 instances to deliver even greater training performance for machine learning applications. The TensorFlow 1.6 also consists of Advanced Vector Instructions to accelerate vector and floating point operations on the C5 instances.
