Inter-Region VPC Peering has added 9 more AWS Regions

AWS Inter Region VPC Peering

Inter-Region Virtual Private Cloud Peering has now added more AWS regions which is Canada (Central), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), EU (Ireland), EU (Paris), South America (São Paulo) and AWS EU (London). These regions are an addition to AWS US West (Oregon), US East (Ohio), US West (Northern California) and US East (Northern Virginia) Regions.

The Inter-Region Virtual Private Cloud enables Virtual Private Cloud resources like Amazon Lambda function, Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute Instances and Amazon Relation Database Service to communicate with each other by utilizing the private IP addresses without requiring separate physical hardware, gateways, and Virtual Private Network Connection. It delivers a cost-effective and a simple way to share resources between the regions or replicate the data for geographic redundancy.

Inter-Region Virtual Private Cloud Peering is built on the same horizontally scaled, a highly-available and redundant technology that encrypts Inter Region traffic with no bandwidth bottleneck or no single point of failure. Traffic utilizing the Inter Region Virtual Private Cloud Peering always stays on the Global Amazon Web Services Backbone and never crosses over the public internet which will, in turn, decrease the threat vectors such as the DDoS Attacks and Common Exploits. Data transferred via Inter-Region Virtual Private Cloud Peering Connections is charged at the standard Inter-Region data transfer rates.
