In Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute Longer Format Resource IDs are now available

AWS had announced in Dec 2017 that Amazon Elastic Container Service, AWS Storage Gateway, and Amazon EC2 resources will have longer identifiers to support the ongoing development of Amazon Web Services. Now you can use longer IDs by using the APIs or the AWS Management Console in Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute. The users can now test their longer format and can opt-in when they are ready at the end of June 2018. After June 2018 the new resources will be built with longer IDs by default. The existing resources won’t be affected only the new resources will be getting longer IDs.
