Apache Hadoop 2.8.3 and Presto Integration with EMRFS is been added support for Amazon EMR Release 5.12.0

Apache Hadoop 2.8.3, Apache Flink 1.4.0, Apache HBase 1.4.0, Presto 0.188, and Presto Integration with the EMRFS on Amazon Elastic MapReduce release 5.12.0. You can also utilize the upgraded versions of Hue (4.1.0), Apache Phoenix (4.13.0) and Apache MXNet (1.0.0). Apache Hadoop 2.8.3 is the first version of the Hadoop 2.8.x supported on Amazon Elastic MapReduce and includes bug fixes and added improvements to HDFS and YARN. Presto has added support by utilizing the Elastic MapReduce File System to access data in the Amazon S3.
