Amazon Web Service has offered free cloud hosting for those government start-ups which is under a partnership with the Start-up India Programme with free cloud hosting credits up to $5000. The Start-ups that is registered with the Department of the Industrial Policy and Promotion will get a cloud hosting fee rebate of $1000 for two years. The Start-ups have received venture capital funding or that is the part of the incubator are eligible for credits worth $5000. Amazon Web Service has also offered a limited period technical support as the part of the promotional offer.
Now, Start-ups requires start-ups to host their mobile applications and websites. There has been a massive rise in the cloud computing where the companies with the huge investment in the data centers that offer pay-as-you-use-go storage space service.
Bikram Singh Bedi, AWS India head said that they want to offer a tangible value proposition for start-ups by delivering an easy-to-use and low-cost cloud infrastructure which is very important at the time of the growth of the business and also with the scalability. He also adds that the 90 percent of the top 100 start-ups use AWS such as Paytm, Ola, Delhivery and much more.
Amazon Web Service is observed to be one of the most profitable ventures within the Amazon Globally. In the quarter end of the 30 June, the Sales of the Amazon Web Service grew to 42% to $4.1 billion or 10.8% of the total revenue in the quarter. Five Data centers are opened in Mumbai from past last one year where the customer base is grown to 120,000.
Amazon Web Service has made a plan and a strategy to attract new companies at their starting stage of the venture. Amazon Web Service is partnering with VCs to put Amazon Web Service to their portfolio firms. Well, the AWS credit is a benefit that government wants to provide for start-ups.
