Amazon Web Services have now announced that AWS Device Farm now supports Appium version 1.6.5. You will be getting complete support of W3C specifications’ capability handling, faster screenshot capture on Android 5.0 and higher devices, latest Android SDK directory support, running a test with iOS 10.3.x and Android 7.x devices and also setting the URL in native context for opening deep links in iOS with the latest version AWS Device Farm. You can run the test in two ways by using the latest Appium server which is by setting up runs from the AWS Device Farm and you have to do nothing because the latest Appium version is set up by default on the configure test. The second method is to set up the run test from the deployment scripts and then update the DeviceFarm schedule run-command from the latest version.
