Azure is working well for Microsoft and they are trying harder to become the cloud leader from cloud laggard. Amazon knows that Microsoft is a potential challenge, they are trying to improve their service. Microsoft has already passed AWS revenue by having $15.6 billion in the first quarter of 2017 whereas AWS revenue growth is $14.6 billion. Amazon Web Services are introducing new technology into their cloud business to attract more investors and customers.
